Kamala Harris was the attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017 and then went on to get elected to the U.S. Senate from California in the year 2017. She served in that post till 2021. Harris is the first vice-president in the history of American politics.

That has made her one of the most influential figures in the political circuit. She assumed office on January 20, 2021. Harris graduated from Howard University and then, Hastings College of the Law. She tied the knot with Doug Emhoff in 2014. Doug is a lawyer by profession and has been quite supportive of his wife.

He is famous for advocating for equality and justice. Harris draws her inspiration from Doug who has always been by her side through ups and downs. The two’s combined net worth is quite impressive. Both of them have a long way to go in their respective careers.

Nancy Pelosi and Paul Pelosi – Together Since 1963

It’s hard to maintain a successful marriage especially when you are always at the forefront thanks to your career in politics. There have been many who have tried to juggle both, but not many have been as successful as Nancy Pelosi. The politician has been the epitome of challenging norms. One key example of her strong will and resilience is her five-decade-long marriage to her husband Paul Pelosi.

Nancy and Paul met while she was studying at Trinity College. She graduated in 1962, and a year later, got married to Paul in Baltimore at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. Nancy initially had no interest in politics, however, things changed and she first served as the Speaker of the U.S House of Representatives between 20o7 and took up the role again in 2019. What’s more she has been the only lady to serve as a Speaker.

The duo has five children and shares eight grandchildren. Paul’s career is different from Nancy’s, as he runs a real estate and consulting company named Financial Leasing Services, Inc., in San Francisco. Despite in different professions, they have been able to make their marriage work and how!

Nikki Haley and Michael Haley – Together Since 1996

Even if politics doesn’t interest you or you don’t find it invigorating enough, you cannot ignore Haley. She is not only the first female governor of South Carolina and the first minority leader of the state, she is also the youngest governor in the country.

She has been married to her husband, Michael Haley for two decades. The duo met in 1989, spending her first weekend as a student at Clemson University in her home state. Michael after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte got engaged in the Clemson botanical garden.

They eventually tied the knot in 1996 as a Methodist and a Sikh ceremony. This is because her parents are Sikh and she was born in this faith. As the first gentleman of South Carolina, Michael conducts charity work for at-risk youth and works for American Red Cross, the South Carolina Military Museum Foundation, and the Safe America Foundation’s First Spouses Campaign. The duo shares two children and extends each other full support in whatever they endeavor.

Marco Rubio and Jeanette Dousdebes Rubio – Together Since 1998

If you have been keeping a tab on American politics, you would know who Marco Rubio is. A former Republican, he is now a senior senator representing Florida. He has been serving in this position since the year 2011.

Previously, he served as a West Miami city commissioner in the 90s decade and was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in the year 2000. He, later on, occupied the position of Speaker there, between 2006 and 2008. Marco has been in a successful marriage with Jeanette Dousdebes Rubio since 1998.

Albert Gore and Elizabeth Keadle – Together Since 2012

Al Gore is an American politician and environmentalist. He became the 45th US Vice President position from 1993 to 2001 under Bill Clinton. He has also been a Democratic nominee for the 2000 presidential election. However, he lost to George W. Bush in a very close race during the Florida recount.

Al Gore is in a serious relationship with Elizabeth Keadle. Keadle has joined the eclectic group of experts and VIPs who have been trying to raise  Antarctica to raise awareness of climate change.

Keadle is a conservationist who has been tirelessly conducting scientific research to promote conservation. She is at the helm of affairs at the president’s council of the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy in California.
